Un·wa·ver·ing: Firm in purpose or belief; Marked by determination or resolution; Not shakable.

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

[Hebrews 10:23-25 ESV]

God blessed me by putting me "behind the scenes" in church ministry. The most striking thing when doing church work is the people who sacrifice untold hours to serve others as Jesus would. These are Christ's ambassadors, His Plan A. Some are paid, most are not. They take risks. They meet diligently. They stir one another up. They stretch themselves.

These are The Unwavering.

I've dedicated my life to helping those who put their lives on the line to serve God's people in the local church. As a therapist-turned-pastor I have focused my work on the church's most relational ministries: Small groups and pastoral care. If you are a pastor, minister, or lay person overseeing relational ministry, these articles can guide, inspire, and prepare you.

About me

I'm a pastor, therapist, and follower of Jesus.

I'm married to a "part time" nurse (if by part time you mean, "the part that is just one notch below full") who delivers babies and helps sick kids. I am the father of two boys who have more energy than nuclear submarines and about as much destructive force. I love coffee, nerdy hobbies, Audible, Moleskine, and road trips.
